Walk in Kin Coulee Park

This is the most valuable photograph that I have ever taken. Why? It’s a picture of my two sons at a very vulnerable age. Do you see it? My oldest son, Wes is helping his younger brother, Brad walk down the road because he doesn’t have any shoes on. Every time I look at this photo, I just want to weep. It was a very special time in our lives never to be repeated again. These guys are grown men now, their hand holding days are long gone.

This photograph was taken at Kin Coulee Park in Medicine Hat, in 1984. It was a time before the City of Medicine Hat paved the park roads. I used a Photoshop Filter called buZZ to apply a watercolor effect. At the time, this was the best watercolor effect for Photoshop I could find. Unfortunately, they’ve gone out of business.
